Bancroft was recently named the recipient of the National Association of Women in Construction’s 2017 Northeast Region Safety Excellence Award! Bancroft topped 15 others from Washington, D.C. to Maine for the award. Bancroft’s win at the chapter and regional level qualifies us for the national award, which will be presented at NAWIC’s 62nd Annual Meeting
Fatalities caused by falls from any elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees, accounting for 370 of the 991 construction fatalities recorded in 2016 (BLS Data). Those deaths were preventable. The National Safety Stand-Down raises fall hazard awareness across the country in an effort to stop fall fatalities and injuries.
