Bancroft Partners with Delaware Division of Public Health for Overdose Prevention and Narcan Distribution Training

November 23, 2021 8:56 pm

Bancroft was happy to partner with the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) to host Overdose Prevention and Narcan Distribution training at the FinTech Building job site at the UD STAR Campus. Through their partnership with members of the state’s construction industry, DPH provides training about the stigma associated with addiction and preventing overdose deaths.

DPH offers two types of outreach: A 45-minute classroom-style training discussing opioid use and detection and overdose prevention and a Point of Distribution (POD) training, which provides a condensed version of the classroom outreach for field personnel. Both outreach sessions offer a voluntary 10-minute Narcan administration training with take-away Narcan kits, resources, and further information about opioids and overdose prevention.

At Bancroft, our mission is to Be Better, starting directly with our team and our community. Partnering with DHP and providing educational outreach programs brings us one step closer to reducing opioid misuse in our industry.

Bancroft is proud to be a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free workplace. We are looking forward to more onsite POD and classroom-style training in 2022!
