Bancroft completed an expansion from 600 to 900 spaces to the Employee Parking Garage at the ChristianaCare’s Wilmington Hospital. Construction included a two level, precast, prestressed concrete structure, with two separate stairs with glazed aluminum storefront as well as the removal of existing helipad structure, concrete curbs, and precast concrete spandrels. Structural precast erection for the garage expansion took place over the weekend in order to minimize impacts to the existing parking system. The expansion required extensive coordination with city officials as a crane was placed in the middle of W 12th Street and Washington Street adjacent to the parking garage.
