Phase I of the Sussex Montessori Charter School project included the construction of 10 new classrooms configured into two separate buildings totaling 16,000 SF. Construction included support areas, the installation of new water and sewer services to the property, and an upgrade of electrical service and to the former Wheaton Farm site in Seaford, DE. Renovations to the property also included re-purposing the existing farmhouse to provide a nurses’ area and space for food distribution and toilet facilities. Due to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bancroft Team worked with the owner to provide a temporary classroom trailer complex in order for Sussex Montessori to obtain their Charter by the June 15, 2020 deadline mandated by the State of Delaware.
