Bancroft Named a Top Workplace for the 9th Consecutive Year
August 31, 2025 4:18 amAugust 20, 2025 – Bancroft Construction has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2025 honor by Delaware Top Workplaces. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a confidential third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. This year marks the ninth consecutive year Bancroft has been recognized, emphasizing the company’s continued commitment to build a culture where team members feel valued, supported, and empowered.
In addition to being named a Top Workplace, Bancroft earned 3rd place in the Midsize Company category, out of more than 2,800 companies across Delaware that participated in the program. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its cultural drivers — including alignment, execution, connection, and growth — which are critical to organizational success.
Bancroft’s President and CEO, Greg Sawka, was also honored with the 2025 Top Workplaces Leadership Award — his second time receiving this distinction. The Leadership Award celebrates organizational leaders who inspire confidence in employees and demonstrate clear vision, integrity, and accountability. Greg credits the achievement to the entire Bancroft team, saying, “While this award is given to CEOs, any accolades belong to the members of Team Bancroft. Our people are the backbone of what makes Bancroft better, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without each team member.”
The Top Workplaces program highlights organizations that prioritize employee engagement and well-being. Bancroft continues to invest in initiatives such as the Bancroft Learning Institute, leadership coaching, professional trainings, operational excellence programs and strategies, and company-wide events to ensure its team members feel supported both professionally and personally.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
As Bancroft celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, this recognition carries even greater meaning. For five decades, Bancroft has been guided by its people-first philosophy, and the Top Workplaces award is a testament to the dedication, teamwork, and passion that define “Team Bancroft.” The company proudly views this achievement as not only a reflection of its past, but also as momentum to continue building a strong culture and bright future.
