This project involves the construction of a 25,231-square-foot Shore’s (UMES) agricultural research, teaching, and extension programs. The center will feature specialized research laboratories, classrooms, conference rooms, faculty offices, and 7,500 square feet of greenhouse space to support hands-on learning and community outreach. This modern space reflects UMES’ mission as a land-grant institution and its commitment to strengthening agribusiness on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Despite challenges from post-pandemic construction market fluctuations, Bancroft’s expertise is helping ensure the vision for this facility becomes a reality, providing faculty, students, and the broader agricultural community with the tools and technology to lead 21st-century innovation in farming and food production.
