Our Leadership Team

Mike Petka serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bancroft Construction Company and is a partner in the firm. A member of Bancroft’s Executive Leadership Team since 2017, Mike previously held leadership roles as Vice President of Preconstruction and Vice President of Operations, where he helped shape the company’s strategic direction, operational excellence, and client-focused delivery approach.

With more than 30 years in the construction industry, including over 25 years at Bancroft, Mike brings deep field experience across institutional and higher education projects, along with a strong focus on sustainable construction. He has led academic and healthcare projects achieving green building certifications. Mike served as Senior Project Manager for the Longwood Gardens Main Fountain Garden Revitalization, completed in 2017, and has led several other prominent projects at Longwood Gardens, as well as work for ChristianaCare’s Middletown facility and the Brandywine School District’s Pierre S. du Pont project.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and has served on the boards of ABC Delaware and the Delaware Contractor Association. His leadership reflects a balance of technical expertise, long-term industry perspective, and a commitment to advancing Bancroft’s mission and people.

Tony is a highly experienced construction professional specializing in project management within the cultural and healthcare sectors. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering & Management from North Carolina State University, Tony has dedicated his career to overseeing complex projects, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and quality. In 2024, Tony served as the Senior Project Manager for Longwood Garden’s Longwood Reimagined Project. The transformative $250 million endeavor to 17 acres in Kennett Square, PA was Longwood Gardens’ most significant capital investment to date. Tony effectively led a team of over 25 Bancroft operational resources and nearly 100 trade partners, garnering recognition as an ENR Top Newsmaker in 2024.

He actively practices Lean Construction, contributing to Bancroft’s Lean Journey and collaborating with Lean Experts such as The Realignment Group and RS Consulting to implement Lean principles. He also plays a pivotal role as a member of Bancroft Construction’s Senior Leadership Team, shaping organizational initiatives and demonstrating a commitment to innovation in the engineering and construction industry.

Casey brings a career of operations experience into his role as Chief Financial Officer. His project experiences and successes set the foundation for his leadership over Bancroft’s contract administration, risk management and financial systems and controls. Casey joined Bancroft in 2005 as an assistant project manager and quickly earned several promotions in Operations on his way to CFO.

Casey’s ability to understand and lead thru complex challenges has made him an invaluable asset to Bancroft. He has an innate ability to develop solutions to resolve the most complicated situations. Casey’s trustworthiness and integrity help him build strong positive relationships with all stakeholders. Casey is active in the community, holding leadership roles in non-profit organizations such as Children & Families First.

As the Director of Preconstruction at Bancroft, Brad brings nearly two decades of experience and a deep understanding of the full project lifecycle. Since joining Bancroft in 2007, he has grown alongside the company, advancing through key roles in project engineering, estimating, and project management before becoming a trusted leader within the Preconstruction team.

Brad’s diverse background, which includes experience in operations leadership, allows him to bring a well-rounded perspective to every assignment. He is adept at guiding projects from early planning and budgeting through construction and close-out, ensuring alignment between client goals, design intent, and execution in the field.

Over the course of his career, Brad has developed and maintained strong client partnerships, most notably with Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. His work there includes supporting major initiatives such as the Orchid House Revitalization, the Nursery Greenhouse, and the landmark Longwood Reimagined project, helping to deliver complex, high-profile projects with a focus on quality, collaboration, and long-term value.

Serving as the Director of Business Development and Marketing at Bancroft Construction and a member of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team, Bobby has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He is responsible for fostering new business opportunities and managing an annual pipeline of approximately $1 billion in projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

While Bancroft serves a wide range of market sectors, Bobby primarily leads preconstruction efforts for local and regional real estate development projects valued up to $100 million. Under his leadership, Bancroft has developed and expanded a specialized multifamily division, which has successfully managed and is planning approximately $400 million in construction activity. This division supports prominent clients including Delle Donne & Associates, Washington Place Equities, Viking Residential, and Berger Development.

Adlyn Banning serves as Executive Director of Human Resources for Bancroft Construction Company, where she has been a dedicated member of the team since 2007. Throughout her career with Bancroft, she has played an integral role in supporting the company’s growth, culture, and commitment to its people.

As a strategic HR leader, Adlyn oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership development, compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. She is passionate about creating programs and initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, develop future leaders, and support Bancroft’s mission of building to serve communities and better lives.

Adlyn has been instrumental in implementing leadership development programs, enhancing employee benefits, modernizing HR processes, and fostering a workplace culture centered on Bancroft’s Guiding Principles of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement, and concern for others. Known for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to employee success, Adlyn partners closely with company leadership to align people strategies with business objectives while ensuring employees have the resources and support they need to thrive.

Adlyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Goldey-Beacom College. She further expanded her expertise through the Villanova University Human Resource Management Certificate Program and remains committed to continuous professional development and leadership growth.

Rob is responsible for providing leadership to our project teams and has an integral role in the company’s Work Acquisition Group. Additionally, Rob has a leadership role in Bancroft’s business development and operational execution out of our Salisbury (MD) office. With over 30 years of project management experience, including 21 with Bancroft Construction, Rob provides a unique operations perspective and years of problem-solving skills developed and honed during his previous responsibilities while serving Bancroft as Director of Marketing and prior to that, 13 years in Operations as Project Manager. Rob’s diverse portfolio features projects successfully completed in several markets including Higher Education, Science and Technology, Hospitality, Department of Defense, and K through 12.

With decades of experience working in a variety of roles in the construction industry, Ron readily serves as a mentor in the development of our next generation of leaders by serving as a Project Executive. He is extremely client-centric and develops long-lasting, committed relationships with clients and trade partners. For the past 15 years, Ron has been leading the New Jersey Region on many technically complex facilities in the life sciences and biopharma industries, including R&D labs, cleanrooms, process installations, and manufacturing facilities. Ron will continue to support the Owner and Project teams in the New Jersey and Delaware region.

Steve brings a steady, hands-on leadership approach to Bancroft’s multifamily work, guiding project teams from preconstruction through turnover with a focus on collaboration, risk management, and client trust. Since joining Bancroft in 2021, he has led five multifamily projects, navigating tight sites, accelerated schedules, and complex coordination with a calm, solutions-oriented mindset. His day-to-day involvement and commitment to mentoring teams help ensure projects stay aligned with client goals while delivering consistent, high-quality results.

With nearly 35 years of experience across multifamily, commercial, institutional, and government sectors, Steve’s leadership is shaped by a career spent seeing projects from every angle; as an owner’s representative, project executive, and builder. This broad perspective allows him to anticipate challenges early, balance competing priorities, and advocate effectively for both clients and project teams. The result is a leadership style rooted in collaboration and accountability, giving clients confidence that their projects are in experienced, capable hands and reinforcing Bancroft’s ability to deliver buildings that strengthen communities and endure over time.

David is a seasoned construction professional with 28 years of industry experience and 12 years of service at Bancroft Construction. Specializing in the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical sectors, David brings a wealth of knowledge in managing complex, high-stakes projects that demand precision, compliance, and operational excellence.

In his current role as Project Executive, David oversees the overall BMS account and manages the day-to-day operations of BMS NBR, while also actively pursuing opportunities to expand Bancroft’s client base. His approach to leadership is grounded in transparency and honesty, values he brings to Bancroft’s Senior Leadership Team as he helps shape the organization’s direction and culture.

With nearly three decades in the construction industry, David has developed a deep expertise in navigating the unique demands of life science and pharmaceutical environments, where quality, safety, and regulatory standards are paramount.
