Through
an ongoing alliance with the University of Delaware, Bancroft was
contracted to serve as the Construction Manager for the extensive
renovations and addition to Townsend Hall - an integral component
of the University's Agricultural College. Originally constructed
in the early 1950s, the facility had since become outdated with
respect to many of its mechanical, electrical and life safety systems,
as well as space utilization features. The University chartered
Bancroft to provide an upgraded facility encompassing modern building
systems and services in addition to architecturally pleasing interior
features and state of the art learning laboratories. The 91,000
SF renovation and addition to the Townsend Hall laboratory and classroom
building was performed in two phases with portions of the institutional
facility remaining fully functional and occupied by faculty, staff
and students throughout the entire construction process. |
