The Kirk Middle School project included extensive replacements of the school’s existing mechanical systems, including new boilers, new classroom unit ventilators and new rooftop units. New chillers, chilled water piping and pumps were installed to air condition the entire building. The school also required additional power outlets for computer use and new lighting in corridors, the administrative area and the library.
Since the classroom renovations took place during the school year, the Bancroft Project Team presented a schedule, phasing plan and photos to the school’s entire staff detailing what to expect during construction. This allowed expectations to be successfully understood by both parties from the start of the project.
