Precision was the key in this project. This indoor tennis pavilion was renovated amidst existing outdoor tennis courts. The tennis court surfaces had to be protected during demolition and construction because they had recently been resurfaced. BCC exhibited its expertise and know-how by the careful jackhammering of the concrete and 9 inch thick asphalt, but at the same time properly protecting the courts. Bancroft also built decks around the complex for viewing and accessibility. In addition to renovation, Bancroft included a pro-shop, locker rooms and a fitness room.
This project required the coordination of multiple subcontractors. Even with the different subcontractors on site, site managment was impeccable. Because of Bancroft’s considerable experience with country-club environments, the workmanship on this project was sensitive to the demands of the country club. The country club remained open during this time, and that meant that children and families would still be everywhere. Bancroft had to have a strong sense of safety. Twelve conspicuous signs were placed on and around the construction area to safeguard the clientele of the club. There were never any complaints. The staff and patrons of the club were very pleased with Bancroft crew members. |
