Size
58,000 square feet
Project Goals
- To construct
an administrative and engineering facility with high level custom
finishes for the DRBA's rapidly expanding operations.
- To accommodate a fast-track,
multiple-phased construction schedule within an occupied facility.
|
The scope
of the DRBA project encompassed new facilities expansion, new granite
exterior building envelope and wall systems, extensive renovations
and re-adaptation of existing building space, and state of the art
HVAC and electrical systems and services. Design and construction
progressed on a fast-track phased basis with schedule, cost, and
quality simultaneously serving as the driving forces for a successful
project.
The overall theme of the project was one of high level,
professional facilities, systems, and finishes complemented by timeless
design and quality construction. The challenges of the project were
compounded by the fact that the existing facilities and services
needed to be maintained throughout the construction process in order
to support the ongoing operations of the DRBA. Through a cooperative
effort with the DRBA and the Design Team, Bancroft was able to bring
this project to its successful completion while meeting the original
goals and projections of time, cost, quality and scope. |
