Bancroft Project Certified LEED Gold
Bancroft Construction Company is the only Delaware Construction Management firm to have completed a LEED certified project in the State of Delaware. The $2 million AstraZeneca Service Providers Center located in Wilmington, Delaware was certified LEED “Gold” by the US Green Building Council. Bancroft has completed numerous projects involving Green Building techniques and systems over the past 15 years. In addition, Bancroft is currently working on several projects that are designed and/or registered to be LEED certified including the new construction of the Brandywood Elementary School, renovations to the University of Delaware’s McKinley Laboratory, the new construction of the Pilot School, and the new construction of ITEC’s Education Building.
Bancroft continues to promote education about green building practices and products as well as LEED Accreditation for its employees. As of June 2009 a total of eleven Bancroft employees have become LEED Accredited Professionals through the USGBC. Through a rigorous process, these individuals demonstrate a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles as well as the LEED rating system with which they can successfully facilitate the LEED certification process.
